Small Town Photographer With Big Goals

Hi there! I’m Jessie. I’m a photographer of high school seniors, families, and horses in the Middle Tennessee area. Capturing memories for you to treasure up in your hearts (and on your walls) is what I love to do.

LUKE 2:19 BUT MARY TREASURED UP ALL THESE THINGS AND PONDERED THEM IN HER HEART.

When I began my journey to becoming a photographer, this was the verse that came to mind. I’m pretty sure that if Mary would’ve had a camera, then she would have been snapping pictures of every last detail she could while she had Jesus with her! I think Mary and I are a lot alike. I think in a lot of ways Mary was a normal mom doing her best to value and appreciate the precious child she had been given to care for. Therefore, I think Mary may have been a photographer if she had been born a few thousand years later.  I don’t mean to make light of the HUGE, precious job God assigned to Mary. I’m just saying, that this verse has always resonated with my mama/photographer heart.

The point I’m trying to make here is that, for centuries, people have been doing their best to remember as much as they can about all the special moments in their lives. And because I’m a photographer, I get to do the honor of helping with that!

Life Long Passion

Photography has been a passion of mine ever since I was a little girl with my very first little Kodak film camera. My parents used to get so frustrated by how fast I went through film! It would be roll after roll of pictures of our pets and my friends.

Eventually, I also fell in love with scrapbooking and began to make intricate scrapbooks of my adventures in high school.

Pictures are just so dear to me, whether I’m looking at them on paper, or creating them with my camera. There is something especially significant about a moment frozen forever in time.

My love of photography and scrapbooking followed me into adulthood, and eventually, my husband and parents joined together to buy me my first DSLR camera. Because of their encouragement, lots of prayer, and some very supportive friends, I have found the courage to pursue my dream of becoming a photographer.

Today is The Day!

So here I am! Still learning and still loving every opportunity I get to bless other families with beautiful pictures to treasure. Please let me know how I can be a blessing to you today!

More about Jessie

Aside from being a photographer, I am also a wife, mom, and lover of all things pretty, romantic, and southern.

My wonderful husband and I got married in 2005 and are more in love than ever! I'm so thankful for the loving support of this amazing man of God!

We have three beautiful children who I homeschool. I LOVE homeschooling these kids! I know we are all right where we are supposed to be!

We also have a blue heeler named Rocket, who keeps us all on our toes! We love him so much! And two cats who we love, and they tolerate us. :)

Country Bumpkin

I’m a country girl and I love being outside in the sunshine! Because of this, the vast majority of my sessions happen outdoors.

I prefer blue jeans and boots over high heels and pearls any day. Mud over makeup and horses over jewelry. That’s me in a nutshell.

If you would like to know more about me or any services I offer send me a message. I’d love to chat with you!

Don’t forget to check out my gallery of horse photography HERE. Order some prints or canvases to hang on your walls! Horses are my passion. I have two! A spotted saddle horse, and a standardbred. I love them so much, and they often appear in my art. :)
